Pecorino Romano


Pecorino Romano has a slightly spicy, pleasantly sharp, salty and tangy flavor. It's perfect for grating over pastas, soups, vegetables dishes and salads. Wonderful with homemade bread and salami or a sweeter treat paired with ripe pears and honey. We like to pair this cheese with a De Notari Frascati Superiore (white) which is moderately priced, light and mellow and accents not overpowers this wonderful cheese. Another option would be Falesco Montiano. Hint: Pair cheese from Lazio with wine from Lazio, thousands of years of pairing in the making has perfected the wine and food match.
