Michaelangelo the infamous Italian renaissance painter created a very deep dark red he called "Morellone"; he used this color in many works and it is widely recognized as one of his signature colors.

Tasting notes:
This wine is produced in the land owned by Ascanio Condivi who was apprentice to Michaelangelo  it is very deep dark red (Morellone) in color with alluring aromas of black cherry, wild berries, root, and leather. Flavors carry nicely from the nose, this well balanced, full bodied, Italian red wine is rich, deeply flavorful and has a long, pronounced finish. 

Wine and food Pairing: Morellone goes very well with grilled red meats, roasts, and casseroles.
