2000 Barolo Vigna Giachini

Ruby red in color with aromas of wild berries, forest, wood, and herbs. Flavors carry nicely from the nose; this Italian red Barolo (from Piedmont) is made from the Nebbiolo grape and represents the full, rich, and complex flavors typically found in the finer Barolos. A medium-full bodied wine with great balance, structure and hearty tannins, it holds a long pleasant finish. This Barolo stands to improve with maturity and is best when decanted about 30 minutes prior to serving for optimal enjoyment.
